The Museum of National History Stirs the Imagination

The Museum of National History Stirs the Imagination

2008

Author (with Erik Schilp)

This pamphlet sketches the contours of the Museum of National History in broad outlines. It formulates its ambitions to act as a brand for a wide network of virtual and physical historical initiatives and to make history accessible in a number of different ways with the use of a wide selection of media. In addition, the pamphlet highlights the importance of public participation in content development, calls on the public to share stories with the museum and to make suggestions for the many activities and projects that the museum would organise. The pamphlet concludes with the statement that the museum aims to present the history of the Netherlands within a global context by way of a chronological overview and five worlds.
